چکیده
Abstract Background Infants with bronchiolitis have an increased risk of developing recurrent wheezing and asthma. However, the factors for development after remains controversial. Our study was to investigate post-bronchiolitis wheezing. Methods were enrolled from November 2016 through March 2017. Nasopharyngeal aspirates obtained detection respiratory viruses which analyzed by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) direct immunofluorescent assay. Serum cytokines including TSLP, IL2, IL13, TIMP-1, MMP-9, IL33, IL5, IL4, IL25, TNF- ? MIP-1? measured flow cytometry. Patients followed up every 3 months a duration 2 years telephone or at outpatient appointments. Results We 89 infants, 81 patients successfully up. In total, 22.2% experienced episodes. The proportion history eczema, systemic glucocorticoid use moderate-to-severe disease significantly higher in group than non-recurrent (83.3% vs 52.4%; 66.7% 36.5%; 61.1% 33.3%, respectively, all P < 0.05); There no significant differences between without episodes levels ( > 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that eczema independent factor (odds ratio [OR] = 5.622; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.3–24.9; 0.023). Conclusion incidence among infants contracting during 2-year follow-up. History only identified correlation found specific virus severity children

Rhinovirus bronchiolitis and recurrent wheezing: 1-year follow-up.
The association between bronchiolitis and recurrent wheezing remains controversial. In this prospective study, we assessed risk factors for recurrent wheezing during a 12-month follow-up in 313 infants aged <12 months hospitalised for their first episode of bronchiolitis. Demographic, clinical and laboratory data were obtained with a questionnaire and from medical files. A total of 14 respirato...
متن کاملRisk factors for bronchiolitis, recurrent wheezing, and related hospitalization in preterm infants during the first year of life.
BACKGROUND Airway diseases are highly prevalent in infants and cause significant morbidity. We aimed to determine the incidence and risk factors for respiratory morbidity in a Spanish cohort of moderate-to-late preterm (MLP) infants prospectively followed during their first year of life. METHODS SAREPREM is a multicenter, prospective, longitudinal study. Preterm infants born at 32-35 weeks of...

متن کامل15-Year Follow-Up of Recurrent “Hypoglycemia” in Preterm Infants
BACKGROUND: Observational study of 543 infants who weighed,1850 g, published in 1988 reported seriously impaired motor and cognitive development at 18 months in those with recurrent, asymptomatic hypoglycemia (plasma glucose level #2.5 mmol/L on $3 days). No study has yet replicated this observation. AIM: To quantify disability in a similar cohort of children followed up throughout childhood. P...
